I uninstalled the old version and installed v1.20 - now all my QSOs are gone. I don't understand - I though this was the proper way to do it?
Where is my database?
Sigh ...
Installed new version - no QSOs

Re: Installed new version - no QSOs
Search for files with file name sqlite
So *.sqlite (star dot sqlite)
When you find where the logbook file is located go to File/open database and navigate to the sqlite file - click open

I will but - but - What happened? Why did the database go away anyway? That didn't used to happen when installing new versions? Right now I'm dead in the water.G4POP wrote:Search for files with file name sqlite

I searched but Windows cold not find any *.sqlite.
OK guys I'm really freaking out now.
I can't believe this.

You did make backups didn't you?
Can you put teamviewer on the computer so that I can sort this out?

Yes. I located a sqlite database in the users/.../roaming/log4om folder, but when I loaded it still no QSO appeared at all even though it had a file date of yesterday.G4POP wrote:You did make backups didn't you?
I did reload a backup adif file into the databse from my backup folder, and it seems to have all my QSO,s.
I'm just concerned about what happened. I've never had this happen when doing an upgrade, and all the other times I was told to uninstall Log4OM - did the same thing this time. I wonder if you have some kind of glitch now?

Re: Installed new version - no QSOs
Computers are wonderful but sometimes unpredictable, that's why we always stress the importance of backups.
From v 1.19 onward there is no need to uninstall the old version
For versions before 1.19 the old one must be uninstalled

Re: Installed new version - no QSOs
can you send me a copy of config.xml backupped in the roaming\logom\backup folder?
The oldest file you can find there. Here there is the path to your log file (previous log file). I'm interested in seeing where the file was.
I strongly suppose that file was in the c:\program (x86)\iw3hmh\log4om folder, that is program folder and will be REMOVED on uninstall...
It's Always a bad practice to save data in this folder, if this is the case.
pse send me your config, if you can find it

OK, Do you want it in a PM (not an attachment in this post)? I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post it in the open.IW3HMH wrote:can you send me a copy of config.xml backupped in the roaming\logom\backup folder?

But - I don't think that's the problem. I have uninstalled and upgraded several versions before this and I've never touched the location of these files at all. If what you say is true (I strongly suppose that file was in the c:\program (x86)\iw3hmh\log4om folder) then it would have happened long before this.
