Log4OM Portable version

Post by J85K »

I notice that the current iteration v1.21 for 'Portable' is actually a larger 28.7 Mb download. Is this correct?

I also downloaded a previous portable version (1.19) unto a Windows 8 tablet device and was unable to get to run. What is the name of the executable file extension to start the program?

Thanks and regards,

I installed the normal version on my Win 8.1 and it works perfectly, however the executable is LogOMUI.exe

I'm running Log4OM only from a USB stick. When upgrading to 1.21, I copied everything right over the previous files, but with the option to overwrite only older files.

Meanwhile my database contains 3500 QSOs. My USB stick is a SanDisk Extreme running USB3. No performance issues whatsoever, even when using CAT to control my K3.

Hello Terry_G4POP,

I did manage to download the 'normal' v1.21 and got it to work. Now, I am trying to figure out how to remove the v1.19.

It is a "PITA" to use the virtual keyboard on a small screen, which leads me to this thought -- what would it take to have an 'OP's' iteration replicated on a 'Cloud Server' [Google Drive] for instance and just access the program via a link .

Thanks as always to the Log4OM team for your fantastic work and support. I recommend Log4OM to all my friends.
