Has anyone managed to get an IC7100 to connect with Omnirig? It's not listed as a supported radio but just curious to know if it's possible. I've had to return to HRD to use its log book and that will connect when set up for an IC7410. Trouble is that's like taking a step back in time after using LOG4OM hi.

Re: OMNI RIG and IC7100
Have you tried some of the other recent Icom radios like 7200, 7600, 7700?

Hello Terry, yes, I've tried every Icom listed in Omnirig but nothing works unfortunately. Looks like sticking with HRD Which is a pity after enjoying using LOG4OM for some time.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: OMNI RIG and IC7100
Ron,
The command code for the 7100 is the same as the ic7000 and my IC7000 connects perfectly using Omnirig
Do you have Teamviewer so that I can try to see what is happening?

Terry,
I used to have an IC7000 and mine connected ok as well . Just tried using IC7000 setting with the 7100 again but it still won't connect.Sorry not very computer savvy here and I don't even know what Team viewer is. Been messing about again but no success so guess I will have to revert to HRD's logbook again. Thanks for trying to help Terry.

If thats what you want Ron then so be it but a free download of Teamviewer would enable me to interrogate your computer to try and resolve the issue.
Good DX and we wish you well

Thanks Terry but all this computer jargon frightens me to death, I haven't got a clue! Basically, I'm just an old school ham that reluctantly uses a pc for logging just to get the job done but as soon as things don't work as they should, I'm up the proverbial creek without a paddle hi.
Thanks again, I appreciate your willingness to help.

being old school doesn't mean you cannot use the "new school" features, and keep the experience. It's a plus having a good ham radio background and let the software take care of annoying tasks

Re: OMNI RIG and IC7100
Good morning Terry and Lele,
I clicked on the link that you gave me but all the info that came up went over my head (as usual). So then I just started messing with the settings again. Set Omnirig to IC7410 as before but I then went into the radio's menu and disabled CIV transceive, turned 9,600 bps off and changed CIV address from 88h to 80h and the radio connected straight away. Closed LOG4OM and switched off the radio then switched on again just to make sure it wasn't a fluke and everything is working fine.
So more by luck than judgement I'm back in business with my favourite logger.
Thanking you both for your support.
