Possible bug in 1.23

Post by WA2SQQ »

Using LOTW with Flex 6500
If I select "Settings", "Options", and any of the menus, upon returning to the logging mode, I loose all CAT communications.
Shutting the program down and restarting restores proper operation.
Happens every time.

Not a huge problem, but one that should be addressed in the next revision. LOG4OM performed so well during this weekends contest! My congrats and appreciation to the team!

I cant comment or test on this because I don't have a Flex signature series to test with, however G3ZSS might be able to comment because he has a 6700

Did you pose this question on the Flex forum because it could equally be a shortcoming in their integration profile?

Terry
I got some good news from Flex that is copied below. They updated the rig profile, and discovered a bug with Omnirig. So as not to break my working setup, I'm wondering if you can suggest the best way to update the smartSDR.ini file, and the Omnirig file. Can I simply copy new over old? Where are they located? I'll try it, and if it fixes the problem, yo can share the info with all.

From FLEX, W4TME
I am saying you need to update you OmniRig INI files.

And in the process of testing the SmartSDR.ini file, I discovered a bug in the OmniRig exe file that was fixed last year, so you may need to update it too.

Terry I just wanted to let you know that after installing the SmartSDR INI file that Flex created, the problem I reported has been fixed. Installation was easy. I just copied it into the folder with all the other profile files, and rebooted the program. Went into the config menu of Omnirig and selected the new SmartSDR profile. Perhaps you can include that file with the next update? The files can be obtained from the links I provided earlier on in this thread.
