Post by iz7qeb »

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: label qsl. .. Capirete che non posso leggermi i migliaia di post che ci sono..

GRAZIE.. Angelo IZ7QEB

Hi everyone, I'm present, I'm Angelo IZ7QEB. I'm a novice of LOG4OM.
After many years of using the HRD logbook, I have decided in these days to switch to LOG4OM to test new software.
After installing the software, I would like to understand some features.
1. I have enabled the automatic uploads of QSOs (eQSL, HRDlog, QRZ and LOTW).
After the first tests, I could not see the load on the various external logs, but only on HRDlog. After checking that the data was correct, I ticked in the SETTING -> OPTIONS -> QSL and LABELS, -> QSL sent YES, LOTW sent YES, EQSL sent YES and I looked that the uploads automatically started except QRZ.com (I'm not an "xlm subscribers"). Is this procedure correct? Or would you have to load them without these options?
Also, Also, confirm me that LOTW must load them manually and not automatically in "real-time"? Because until now, I had to load them manually since they did not automatically leave. Some settings to do/check ??
2. I saw that there is the ability to print labels for QSLs. I customized printing on labels according to my measurements. Questioning: Is it possible to customize the label layout (colors, words)?

I've tried some forums on the forum for not being repetitive, but if I look for "QSL LABEL" I get the warning The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: label qsl. .. You will understand that I can not read the thousands of posts that are there ..

Assuming that you have the correct details in the Options/external logs like User ID, Password, Station ID and QTH Nickname then the automatic upload will work every time that you add a new QSO to your logbook - Bulk upload of old QSO's already in the log must be done manually.

Most problems are caused by incorrect Station ID in the case of LOTW and Nickname with respect to eQSL!

LOTW must load them manually and not automatically in "real-time"? Because until now, I had to load them manually since they did not automatically leave. Some settings to do/check ??
That is correct LOTW is not an automatic upload it is done manually from the QSL Manager

You can change the font size but not the colours or fonts

Hello Terry, thank you for answering my questions. ;)
The entered data is correct. After reading various information, I understand that everything is charged automatically, but for QRZ you have to be a "paid subscriber" and LOTW must be uploaded manually by QSL Management. :)

I looked that by entering the callsign manually (new qso) it loads it into the various external logs, while, if I load an external adif, ex. WSJT-X log, inputs them into the database but does not load them into external logs, and I have to load them manually from the QSL Management, one by one (not good for many qso, usually 50/70 in digital mode :? ).

For the QSL Label, I have now used HRDLABEL (see v. 6.7.0) which also supports loading from LOG4OM as well as HRD Logbook. Does any of you know how to configure it? I tried setting up the "service" but HRDLABEL asked me for server address and port .. What would they be ?? Has anyone ever done it?
If so, resolve the issue of label printing ... THANK YOU .. :D

Not sure about HRDLabel but possibly someone on this forum can advise.

I use JTAlert for transferring QSO's in real time from WSJT to Log4OM and it woks without issue and all on line logbooks are updated autoMAGICALLY

Hi Terry ... Tnx! ;)

I saw that there is a new release of JTAlertX, installed and configured now is all right .. :P

For HRDLabel, in theory there might be a possibility: to take advantage of the UDP port of the "INBOUND SETTING" of the Log4Om Communicator; it's usually 2236, and inserted in the parameters, it manages to read the sqlite log but can not open it.. Attach screenshot ..

We would need to configure the UDP to recognise HRDLabel for that to work

I think that we needn't a particular configuration..
I sent an email to IW1QLH Claudio and i'm waiting his answer if we can fix something.
Obviously i will keep you update ..

Meanwhile, after some days that i'm using Log4om, after configuring the setting, i think it's a very good logbook, many user-friendly, many customizable! If possible, i would like to give some contributions to improving the software... ;)

Hello everyone.. Again! :D
I've perfected printing my label layout for qsl.
I have a question: when I select a QSO from "LABEL MANAGEMENT" and I have more than one, so multiple, because I print only a QSO instead of two or three ??? In the "QSO ANALYSIS" I see only one. And the others?
I would like, when I select one callsign, it automatically select the other QSO of same OM and choose which ones to print in QSO ANALYSIS, if all or only one..
Do I have something wrong or is it a function that is not there?
For example, I'm printing the label of one QSO, and I have also other QSO in 2015 and 2012, but I see only the selected, the last..
THANK YOU..
