Log4OM cluster window WSJT-X FT8
Log4OM cluster window WSJT-X FT8
Hi, I wonder if you can see in Log4OM, cluster window, decoded FT8 stations from WSJT-X as with CW Skimmer. Thanks Fabrizio IK6DLK

Ciao Fabrizio,
I was not aware that CWSkimmer decoded FT8 my version 2.0 of skimmer just decodes CW?
There is a RTTY version of Skimmer but I believe that's only for CW
Perhaps I misunderstand please explain?
You can make a custom filter to do this .............
But it relies on the spotter adding the mode to the comments field

Sorry Terry, I was wrong. As you can see in your tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KyeY9lHV8w CWSkimmer calls are sent to the Log4OM cluster window, do the same with WSJT-X?

Hello Fabrizio,
JT Modes and also the new FT8, T10 have an own "cluster" on hamspots.net by VK3AMA.
It is only webbrowser based but it´s good for an overview. To send spots to the normal
clusters is not effective so all of this modes have it´s own "Dial" frequencies and a double
klick only will set the TRX to exactly this dial and you have to find a spotted station in
the waterfall of the software.
Better to set your TRX to the FT8, T10 or JT65/9 dial frequencies and watching the 2,5
Khz wide part of the band. If there is activity your favourite software will decode the
signals in this part if you don´t use a filter you can set in JTDX. Makes much more sense
than watching a cluster.
By the way, spotting to hamspots.net only works if you are using JTalert but this SW can
also log into the Log4OM SQLite. I prefer JTalert for my work with JTDX and WSJT-X.
