I just switched on my PC and the LOG4OM programme opened as a new configuration again. I was using the programme this morning with no problem.

Terry, I have sent you my LOG directory via email.

Hello Guy, I’ve only logged into the forum now and seen your reply; sorry to hear you had the same problem, I wouldn't mind so much if it happened every 2-3 years but once a week is very frustrating!

>>I do regular HD clean ups

I run “Disk Cleanup” and “Disk Defragmenter”, the Window System Tools.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will run ‘chkdsk /r’ during the night and let you know the results.

Don't bother with the chkdsk routine it wont fix this and may cause problems elsewhere

You seem to have a corrupt xml file I have responded to your email with instructions

You could also try running the software as a portable install to Dropbox or Google drive, that way there is no permeant installation

How can chkdsk /r cause problems? I would really be interested to know.

Just lke CCleaner it sometimes archives sectors with information without moving it, but if you doubt that give it a try a couple of times and then watch your computer regularly crash or some programs stop functioning

Thanks for the heads up on that one Terry. Never heard that before.
