Hi,
How do I change the database?
I did manage to do so earlier today by creating a new one, but when I wanted to change back to my old one I ran into problems.
To change databases, the manual says just has to open it. I then wanted to swap back to the main one and I just get a "NOT CONNECTED" in the bottom right and a red light instead of the usual green light and the path.
Thanks
Guy
PS Terry, I tried to search for both this issue and the other one. Each search has been met with a message that my words were too common. I must have searched for over 10 times for both issues without success.

Re: Change database
Hello Guy,
think it´s a problem of the search facility of the forum. If i try searches i got the same
Error message that the search words are to common ...
Could be possible that this is the problem that we have a lot of new entries from new
users which have problems with T10/FT8 mode.

Hi Juergen,
Thanks for the search answer. Do you have any idea why I cannot reload my original database?
Cheers

Re: Change database
Should just work with File/Open Database
Then locate and select the original database and click open
Then locate and select the original database and click open

Re: Change database
Hi Terry,
It does not at all here. Also, I cannot find anything in the settings 2 or the other tab (external logs?) that is mentioned in the documentation. I'm stuck here with a broken Log4OM. I cannot open the one I created today or the one that has everything else on it.
Cheers

Re: Change database
It's not in settings!
It's at top left of window
Click the 'File" drop down then select open database

Hi Terry,
I have "opened" my database over 50 times so far! It STILL says "not connected".
Here is a screencast to prove it:- https://www.dropbox.com/s/wjrasjlx92gx3 ... 7.mp4?dl=0
Cheers

Send me a support request (from help menu) by email
Don't forget to set trace mode before repeating the File/open database operation

Re: Change database
Where is the database located, its not on a network is it? -No I cant see the path from your images!
If so try copying the database to the computer Log4OM is installed on and see if it will then open

Re: Change database
Hi Terry,
The database is not on a separate computer. It is in its default location on the same computer as I have never moved it. It is here C:\Users\Guy\AppData\Roaming\LogOM.
Cheers
