Distance ??

Trying to figure out the distance thing.

I sorted by distance and VK6OZ is my furthest contact at 17,294 (I have distance in miles checked in setup).

Long path to his location according to QRZ.com is 14,169 miles and short path is 10,687.

I have other contacts showing more than the longpath distance as well.

What is going on here? And did I miss some setting that would choose short path first?
