630M Band Support

Post by w0ls »

Does log4om support the new 630 and 2200 meter bands? If I go to those bands with my Flex log4om comes up with "out of band" indicator below callsign entry window. Running v1.30.0.0

Thanks and 73's,
Harry

All you need to do is modify the bandplan_dxcc291.xml file in Log4OM.

If someone supplies us with an official dxcc 291 bandplan for the US that includes those bands they will be included but meanwhile it has to be user defined.

Hi Terry and thanks for your help. I changed the file you suggested and that helped. I found that I also had to change bandlist.txt and bandplan_r2.xml. and that got me to the point where I could log 630M qso's. It appears I have to go at least one step further and change awards.xml. Are there any others??

Thanks,
Harry

As far as I am aware 630 meters is not a recognised DXCC award band so modifying the awards.xml would be pointless other than for your own gratification.

Providing you have your own country and DXCC reference selected in the Options/station details tab Log4OM will select the bandplan_dxcc291.xml file automatically, the bandplan_r2.xml is the generic region 2 bandplan that applies to all entities in region 2 unlike bandplan_dxcc291.xml which is specifically for users in the USA.
