manually adjustable frequency with cat connection via omnirig

Post by DK6KM »

Hello,

i Need help. How can I change frequency manually if I use omnirig cat control?
It doesn’t work. I can change mode and grid square but not frequency. There is no padlock behind frequency field.
But in Mario DK5VQ his log4om (Videos) i saw this padlock button.

Hallo Manuel,

Log4OM is grabbing the frequency information by CAT via Omnirig or Hamlib.
If you like to log a contact on another band you can change the QRG when
you open the Settings Tab and check "Suspend CAT reading" ....

But note, this only stop CAT reading and if you enter a frequency after suspending
CAT reading the frequency on your transceiver not will be changed too. So Log4OM
is a logger and not a radio control ...

Hello Jürgen,

thanks for your answer.
I hope I did understand you.

So if I set at the settings Dropdown-Menü a tick mark at suspend cat reading, I can change frequency manually and after this I must delete the tick mark at suspend cat reading for using cat reading on log4om, right?

Right. If you have set the check mark, you can enter the frequency manually to log something you might have just worked on 2m. After logging you have to untick the check mark so that Log4OM gets the frequency of the connected TRX again.
