Hello friends,
The same here. I have 38.000 records that Log4OM 1.3.0 loads in about 10 seconds (fast enough for me.
I installed 1.3.1 today and had the same problems, it took more than 2 minutes to load all and
after a few moments i experienced a black screen with a green border. Had to quit the program
with the Taskmanager. I got my old version 1.3.0 back and runnning.
This is no actual complaint because i know how hard it is to run a "free", for itself excellent, program.
Maybe more a point of attention.

As stated in previous posts in this thread 1.31 had a bug you need to install 1.31.10

I am sorry Terry,
I installed the latest fixed version 1.31.1 but nothing has been changed.
The loading time of my log was about 10 sec. Now it takes more than 2 minutes.
I am back to 1.30.

Are you certain that you installed this version http://www.log4om.com/dl/#
And that you installed it to RUN AS AN ADMINISTRATOR by right clicking the install file and selecting "Run as an administrator"

I agree with Terry. Something not right with your 1.31.1.0 installation. 1.30.0.0 took 35 seconds to load my 69290 contacts... 1.31.0.0 took 4 minutes and 1.31.1.0 takes 20 seconds neat.G4POP wrote: ↑29 Jan 2018, 20:01Are you certain that you installed this version http://www.log4om.com/dl/#

Re: Log4om 1.31.0.0 database issue
Hello Terry,
I downloaded the latest 1.31.1 version and installed it with administrator rights.
The program starts as normal (even quicker) but i lost a great deal of my qso's in the log.
The latest log entrance showed is 11-10-2017 while i made some few hundreds of qso's
after that date. The version shows 1.31.1. When i close the program and restart it, the old version
comes back 1.30, i got a warning that a new version is available and i have my log till today back.
I looked for an answer in my firewall, i switched it off. When i install the 1.31.1 again the installation
sequence runs smootly but the program halted into a black screen with a green border.
Any suggestions?
By the way i run Windows 8.1

"black screen with a green border." by any chance are you running a sandbox style anti-virus like Comodo ?? when Comodo isolates a program, it puts a green border around the program's window.hfsparks wrote: ↑31 Jan 2018, 20:15 Hello Terry,

Re: Log4om 1.31.0.0 database issue
Hi Gerrit,
that´s very special that you´ve installed 1.31.1 but after restart 1.31 will be there.
Try the following:
Locate your backup folder and save the latest working backup to another folder.
Do the same with the latest ADIF backup which have all your qso´s in (it´s in the same folder).
Uninstall Log4OM complete.
Delete all Log4OM folders include the folder in C://user/your user name/appdata/roaming/
Download and run CCcleaner and let it do a Registry cleanup.
Restart the PC.
Download a fresh installation file of Log4OM V 1.31.1 and install it with administrator privileges.
Unpack the latest Backup in the config folder (see above).
Start Log4OM, create a new database and make it active (don´t forget to save).
Restart Log4OM and import the latest full ADIF into the empty database.
Hope that helps ...
