Hi All
Is there an easy way in the cluster window to filter for a specific call.
In my current soon to be old logging program (HRD) I had spot filters.
I like to filter spotss by call when EG CY0P or TO2TT are on to be able to see only the selected call in the cluster.
I like being able to filter by band, spot location, worked etc. All really good.
Also the colour code key is not on the botton of the cluster window within the main progrea (F9) it only appears when the cluster is seperated to a seperate window.

Re: Filtering on a Call in Cluster
There are two methods...
1. In the cluster filter tab type the call into the "custom" field - Now if the call appears it will be highlighted
2. Use the 'Alert' feature for on screen, audio, email and GROWL messages
Method 2 is definitely the best method

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried it and it works but not as good for me as a cluster list of one call ?

Re: Filtering on a Call in Cluster
Perhaps I misunderstood you question!
Do you only want to display just one call in the cluster - No other spots at all?
If so that can be done by using a cluster command

This is because the user can define his own colours in the options/Settings therefore there is not a standard set of colour codes

Hi
How do I do a cluster command to show only CY0P.
The cluster key at the bottom could reflect the colours the user chose in the setting window
Thanks for the replys. I do like the app and my intention is to move to it 100% onece I understand the workings etc.

In the cluster connection window F3 you can send commands to your chosen cluster by entering a string as detailed below.G6VMR wrote:Hi

Enter in the "Send command" field.....
accept/spot call CY0P
Now click "Send command"
Followed by sh/mydx
Then click "Send command" again to refresh the cluster
You can save your special filters in the options/select config tab by clicking on "enable expert mode" and adding the syntax to "Cluster commands"
All of the DXSpider cluster commands can be found here...

Re: Filtering on a Call in Cluster
Have been using as my log now for a few weeks. I do miss the ability for a custom spot filter by callsign within the cluster filter section.

Re: Filtering on a Call in Cluster
I will add this to Mantis but meanwhile you could use a cluster filter for prefix to refine the cluster spotsG6VMR wrote:Have been using as my log now for a few weeks. I do miss the ability for a custom spot filter by callsign within the cluster filter section.
accept/spot 1 call PA
The filter above will filter to show only calls beginning with the prefix PA for Netherlands

Thanks. I have tried this and it works OK. Thanks for adding it to a possible feature list.
