If I work a station on 60 meter SSB, the program has no problem. But if I work a station on 60 CW, it gives me an "Out of Band" error. The 60 meter CW frequencies are 1.5 kHz above the SSB frequencies. If I click "OK" on the warning box, it will take the entry, but I can't find a setting to make the error go away.
SSB frequencies: 5330.5, 5346.5, 5375.0, 5371.5, 5403.5
CW frequencies: 5332, 5348, 5358.5, 5373, 5405
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ron, KI4TN

Re: 60 Meter Question
Just modify the bandpaln_r2.xml file which is were the out of band messages are derived from

Re: 60 Meter Question
I am going to have to play with that a bit. I opened the bandplan_r2 file and it did not have a 60 meter section. I added one but the problem is that the 60 meter band is unusual in that different modes don't occupy different parts of the band, but CW and Phone overlap near the same frequencies. That will require some thought on programming.
There are also files called bandplan_r1 and bandplan_r3; those have 60 meter sections and they deal with phone. Would it work to try to modify them? But then it is right back to that overlapping thing.
I kept backups of my original bandplan_rx files and restored them back to what they were. Until I get it figured out, I can live with the problem.

Re: 60 Meter Question
The underscore r1, r2 & r3 refer to the three IARU regional bandplans which of course are all different, you wouldn't expect them all to decide on common frequencies that would be too sensible

I am sure the governments are wise and know that radio waves act differently when they cross boundries .
Re: 60 Meter Question
Finally, I found time to sit down and after a bit of programming, this problem is solved. I modified bandpland_r2 but it didn't seem to have an effect on the error messages. In looking at the files in that folder, I found bandplan_dxcc291 (the 291 refers to my dxcc region) and it seemed to have similar programming. I looked at the 60 meter section in that file, added some language so that it would accept 60 meter CW and it worked! I can now add 60 meter CW contacts without getting an error message.
Since 60 meters is channelized, I had to add five new sections to cover each of the CW channels. I won't bore everyone with the code I added, but if anyone wants it, I will be glad to send it or post it here.

Re: 60 Meter Question
Hi Ron.
In spite being in Region 1, it would help a lot, in order I could do the same here.
I am afraid to handle xml files, so, your file, would help a lot.
Thanks for your offer.

Re: 60 Meter Question
Manuel and others,
I am attaching the XML file to this message. My file is called bandplan_dxcc291, but you will need to rename it to the appropriate DXCC region, which I believe in your case would be bandplan_dxcc272. Be sure to back up your original file so that you can restore it if something goes wrong.
I modified the original file to add CW. I did not add digital but for some unknown reason, if I enter a 60 meter frequency, I can choose PSK or RTTY from the dropdown mode list without an error message. I am sure if you added FT8 to your mode list it would also let you select that.
Hope that helps,
Ron, KI4TN
