I replaced my old Windows 10 PC with a new Windows 10 PC.
Setup CAT exactly on the new Windows 10 PC as it was on my old PC
Using OmniRig COM 3 with the exact same settings as was on my old PC.
Iv uninstalled Log40M and reinstalled about 6 times even downloading an older version to see if that was the problem to no avail.
Did the same with OmniRig.
CAT is working from the rig to the PC as I tried the software that comes with the rig. Kenwood software. Frequency changes etc when you turn the tuning nob.
Also download another logging program and CAT works with that.
But really want to stick with Log40M as it does everything I want.
Iv been at this for the last 2 days trying to get it to work and I just noticed that when you boot up Log40M the red CAT indicator is red but if you wait 2 or 3 minuets it goes green indicating the frequency that’s on the rig but when you turn the tuning nob no reaction.
If you press the PTT button and keep it pressed in it eventually puts the rig into transmit.
Hope you can help me.
Can't get CAT to Work on a new PC
Re: Can't get CAT to Work on a new PC
This still hasn't been resolved.
Other software can use CAT on PC so its not the COM Port or the settings is wrong.
I have checked and double checked Com port settings and settings in Omni-Rig they are both Correct.
And Yes when installing and Initiating software I'm using Run As Administrator.
I'm sure other people have had problems with CAT I can't be the only one.
So If anyone can give me a Solution to my problem I will be Very Greatful.

Hi,
here is a little programm which lists all programs using serial ports: https://rigexpert.com/files/SerialPortChecker.exe
Maybe COM-Port is in use...just an idea...
There is also a Client for Omnirig, for checking some activities: http://dxatlas.com/OmniRig/Files/Client.zip
