HRD DM780

Post by G6VMR »

I have DM780 working well after the help from this board with the interfacing settings.
I have one issue still to resolve.

When the call is transfered from HRD to LOG4OM is ticks QSL Sent and QSL Recieved date automatically. Is also some times selects QSL via values also.

I have checked all onver HRD and DM780 and see no settings that would ask for this. DM780 has a QSL box with the date in but N. I think this is neing interpreted incorrectly some how. My QSL settings in LOG4OM are all set to N.

It happens on every QSO passed over the interface.

Martin,
What version of HRD are you using?

This is strange I just checked using HRD 2893 and it did not do this.

However when checking with HRD V5.24.0.38 Buid 3474 it did exactly what you describe so clearly something has changed.

I will add this to Mantis but meanwhile it is not a show stopper because the QSL sent status is correct its just that there is a date active, it won't affect lookups or award statistics

Thanks. I am pleased you managed to replicate my query. I agree no show stopper. I would gladly have that feature removed from the interface. I don't think many would instigate QSL info from within DM780.

I use it as I like the interface. I am open to suggestions if some one has a better app for RTTY, PSKOV and CW. I use it for CW as my icom has no memory for contest exchanges. I like the idea I saw earlier on winkeyer functionality.

Keep the good work going. I have tried many of the versions and this one is stable (with minor features)

So you want to replace default with your log default and remove dates?
I agree on that...

But only if the incoming QSO has a QSL sent/received status of N-no if the incoming QSO has a status other than N-No the date needs to be accepted

I know that it seems that this will never happen but it could be possible

I agree. Terry you have the correct interpretation. But the way I use DM780 I an happy for Log4OM to be the master as I QSL from there not DM780.
