Importing ADIF File Information

Post by G0VSS »

Hi
I am a new user just setting up the log. I am a previous user of Winlog.
I have created the ADIF file to import into Log40m.
Unfortunately after having imported the data successfully I note that the "remarks" info has not been imported, this contains the operator name and other info, including fists number etc. (there is no separate data field for op name in winlog). What I would like to do is to amend the ADIF file amending the data field name to the corresponding "note" field in log40m. I can do this by doing a search and replace in the ADIF text file.
I would also like to do the same with the QSL sent and recd data in the ADIF file.
The following is a copy of one record from the ADIF file:
<CALL:6>IT9PPG <QSO_DATE:8>19950305 <TIME_ON:4>1657 <TIME_OFF:
<FREQ:6:N>14.000 <BAND:3>20m <MODE:2>CW <APP_WL32_MODE:3>A1A <TX_PWR:1>5
<RST_SENT:3>579 <RST_RCVD:3>599 <APP_WL32_REMARKS:22>PIPPO PALERMO 100 ML
<PROP_MODE:0> <GRIDSQUARE:0> <COMMENT:0>
<QSL_RCVD:1>Y <APP_WL32_QSLIN:1>Y <QSL_SENT:1>Y <APP_WL32_QSLOUT:1>Y <QSL_VIA:0> <IOTA:0> <CNTY:0> <STATE:0>
<DXCC:1:N>0 <EOR>

Please can you advise what I need to change the data names in the above data to get them imported as I need into LOG40M, a list of the acceptable import fields and how they should be formatted up would be good.

I hope you can help
Thanks
Ray

Hew are the standard ADIF fields that we use http://www.adif.org/309/ADIF_309.htm#QSO_Fields

Here is an example of a correctly formatted set of standard ADIF fields from my log

<ADDRESS:36>Bemoko Nosy Be Island Madagascar <A_INDEX:1>4 <ANT_AZ:3>132 <ANT_PATH:1>S <BAND:3>20m <CALL:5>5R8UI <CONT:2>AF <COUNTRY:10>Madagascar <CQZ:2>39 <DISTANCE:4>8551 <DXCC:3>438 <EQSL_QSL_RCVD:1>N <EQSL_QSL_SENT:1>N <FREQ:6>14.026 <FREQ_RX:6>14.026 <GRIDSQUARE:6>LH46CQ <IOTA:6>AF-057 <ITUZ:2>53 <LOTW_QSL_RCVD:1>N <LOTW_QSL_SENT:1>N <MODE:3>SSB <MY_CITY:17>Burnham on Crouch <MY_CNTY:7>England <MY_COUNTRY:7>England <MY_CQ_ZONE:2>14 <MY_GRIDSQUARE:6>JO01JP <MY_ITU_ZONE:2>27 <MY_NAME:5>Terry <MY_POSTAL_CODE:7>CM0 8EY <MY_RIG:17>Icom IC756 ProIII <MY_STREET:16>28 Hillside Road <NAME:23>Michele Imparato "Mike" <OPERATOR:5>G4POP <OWNER_CALLSIGN:5>G4POP <STATION_CALLSIGN:5>G4POP <PROGRAMID:6>Log4OM <PROGRAMVERSION:8>1.36.0.0 <QSL_RCVD:1>N <QSL_SENT:1>N <QSL_VIA:41>via IZ8CCW & LotW only please. See below! <QSO_DATE:8>20190122 <QSO_DATE_OFF:8>20190122 <QTH:14>Nosy Be Island <RST_RCVD:2>59 <RST_SENT:2>59 <RX_PWR:1>0 <TIME_OFF:6>090801 <TIME_ON:6>090745 <TX_PWR:3>100 <K_INDEX:1>1 <LAT:10>-13.313333 <LON:9>48.206667 <PFX:2>5R <SFI:2>70 <CLUBLOG_QSO_UPLOAD_STATUS:1>N <HRDLOG_QSO_UPLOAD_STATUS:1>N <QRZCOM_QSO_UPLOAD_STATUS:1>N <EOR>

You should be able to interpolate between the two and bulk edit your ADIF before import

Sorry but I gave you a 'Bum Steer' we export only fields which contain data so here is another export which contains virtually all of the data except for satellite.

You will see this one contains comments and notes, whereas the last one did not, and also Fists.
