logging for contest and SOTA ?

Post by G1ZAR »

I take part in many of the UKAC contests, and do these from various SOTA summits.
Can I log in the contest tab and creats log files that are suitable for upload to both the contest site and the SOTA site?
i.e. can I append the required SOTA information to the contest log?

thanks........Stuart

You can create a csv file ready for upload direct to the SOTA web site

You can export an ADIF file which contains contest and SOTA data

Not sure what format the contest that you refer to requires, if it needs a cabrilio file format you will have to use an on line ADIF to Cabrilio converter

Alternatively interface N1MM contest logger with Log4om and create the contest log from N1MM and the SOTA upload file from Log4OM

Thank you for the reply,

According to the RSGB website, .LOG or .COV or .EDI or .GJV are the acceptable formats.
I will have a bit more of a look around the program functions. I was just a bit thrown as the interface has different tabs for SOTA or contesting, as they do require slightly different data entering.
Computer logging is all new to me, so I will stick to just the LOG4OM program for a while and see how I get on.
