Hi
Last week I bought a new computer for the shack with Windows 7 OS.
I downloaded Log4OM the other day & have been setting up station data & the Cat connection to my K3 & MicroHam MKII etc, so far with no trouble.
I then tried to import an Adif file with my previous QSO logs but get the following message - "Not connected to any database or database error. Open or create new database."
The Adif file is on a USB pen drive.
What now please?

Importing Adif files
Re: Importing Adif files
I think first you must open a new database at File > New Database
Re: Importing Adif files
You must create a new database and then open the new database, then import the adif to that DB.

Thanks to Charles & Hans!
Once I opened a new Database & removed the 5000 QSO restiction on the bottom of the log page, my Adif files were loaded with no trouble.
I also loaded the new Version of Log4OM whilst I was at it.

Re: Importing Adif files
Ray,
The 5000 you mention is not a limit to the ADIF import it's just a limit to the QSO's that are displayed to speed up refresh rates.
Unless I am editing in the archive manager I set the maximum QSO's displayed to 2000 then it's lightning fast to refresh even on my old steam powered XP machine

Thanks for that Terry - clarifying that the 5000 QSO is the default display limit not the adif file limit!
