Thanks guys. I will try it out as soon as I am back home and have access to HRD.
The option Daniele is proposing might come in handy.

Will report back if I have trouble with export/import.

Hi guys, I just exported all my SOTA contacts from HRD-Logbook and imported them into Log4Om via ADIF.
Exported all SOTA contacts from the SOTA DB and imported them into Log4Om via csv.

There were tons of error messages. Unfortunately the window has a fixed size and it is not possible to copy/paste the error messages to an editor for further analysis. As a result, not all SOTA references are in Log4Om. I can easily go through the log and add the missing info, however it would be nice if the output from the IMPORT process can be accessed somehow. The HELP=>SHOWLOG info does not reveal anything useful. Is there another log somehere? If not, could the next release create such a log?

Thanks

In the import screen there is a floppy disc icon for saving these error messages as a text file

I need you to email me the text file please

OK just to update users about Matts problem.

There were some issues caused by his previous logging program which caused no match errors during the SOTA CSV import

E.g
The log program had recorded incorrect frequencies and therefore bands!
There were duplicate log entries that had slipped through our import routine because of band mode frequency differences missing or incorrect 'Station call sign" fields
Plus a few other inherited errors.

It's no wonder poor old Matt had problems, through no fault on his part.

Anyway we did some bulk updates and now Matt has to just finish the clean up

Nice summary Terry, thanks again for your assistance.
I am trying to update the remaining issues withing Log4OM without going back to HRD. Is there a way to update the 'My SOTA Ref' for just one contact (came out empty during the transition)?

Yes use the QSO manager to find the QSO

Check the enable update box

Highlight the QSO to be edited

Click on the "Field update" button

Select the My SOTA ref field from the drop down list

Enter the reference in the right hand box

Click the update button

Job done
