Hi All,
I've had this problem with my IC7000 and IC7200. When clicking on a spot, the 7200 always selects "med" filter setting as it goes to the spot frequency. The IC7000 always changes to "med" filter setting when a spot is clicked but also changes mode from CW to CW reverse.
Today I solved the issue purely by chance. Go to settings and uncheck the box "cat will set mode when following spot" Problem solved, It was driving me up the wall Hi

Just looked back through the posts and Terry advised to do this a while ago but at that time it didn't work for me for some reason, Anyway it's solved the problem this time and clicking on a spot no longer changes filter setting or mode.
