OUT OF BAND if I click on CLR key

Post by IK6AWY »

I verified one little error on this sequence:

1) in the main screen of cluster window I set the band (es. 10 m);
2) in the cluster side is filtered all 10 m Call;
3) if I click on one call, this call and frequency is transferred on first field of LOG, and the 10 m set is identical;
3) if now I click on CLR, the call in the first field of Log is cleared, but sometime is displayed the OUT OF BAND balloon red and all field's is cleaning, AND THE 10 m FIELD SETTING EVEN IS CLEARED, and in the cluster window appear all DXspot in all band (not only in the 10 m original setting, that is cancelled).

This is very annoying behavior.

Sometime it happens even when I put an DXcall on the first field of Log and I spot the DXcall with click in the green ball key, at the right side of the CALL field.

Please is possible control the Log4OM in this side?

Many thanks for your interest to my problem.
Bye for now.

I will check as soon as come back home.
Usually clr can be avoided pressing the esc key on keyboard, but the issue should be the same... Did you check your itu zone in config? There could be some differences in your area if the zone is incorrect.

Yes, the problem is even with the esc key on keyboard.

I checked my ITU settings, in option settings, but is set to ITU 28 normally.

No, in option settings, the IARU is set to 1 normally, automatically determined via Locator from Log4OM.

Have you got a radio connected via CAT control (Omnirig or Hamlib)?

So this issue only happens when not using CAT control and clicking cluster spots? Not when using manual mode with the frequency lock clicked!

Only way I can repeat your issue is when clicking a PSK/Digital spot in the cluster without CAT control connected, then using clear or escape clears all data including the band which causes the "Out of band" message

Never had this issue before because normally users have a radio connected or lock the frequency and mode for manual operation.

Yes, if I lock the frequency this issue not is present, but the frequency is not reported on his field.
The issue is only when the frequency is not locked and I not use the CAT system (I not have CAT).

OK, but is one possibility (like my), for not utilize the CAT system and is important to write the exact frequency in the specifically field of database.

Is possible correct this issue?

Many thanks.
