"OUT OF BAND" message after callsign deleted

Log4OM version 1.12.1.0

This is a new behavior I have observed since installing this latest version. It only occurs when using Log4OM without TCVR being connected to it.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Make sure TCVR is not connected to your PC. Start Log4OM.
2. Go to the Cluster tab (F9)
3. Double click any station in the cluster. This should result in the callsign appearing in the "Callsign" field in the top-left of the Log4OM window.
4. Delete the callsign from the "Callsign" field.

After deleting the callsign, sometimes a red "OUT OF BAND" message appears under the "Callsign" field. Not always, but quite often. This was not the case in previous versions of Log4OM. Earlier versions retained the band information in the "Band" drop-down. In this version the for example "20m" value in the "Band" drop-down changes to "blank" occasionally (quite often actually).

This new behavior of this feature makes it more difficult for users of Log4OM who happen not to have their TCVR connected to their laptop. If, for example, I have selected the "Link to radio band" cluster filter, this filter selection will be ignored when the program reports "OUT OF BAND".

Please, if I haven't described it well, let me know and I will take screenshots to better illustrate the issue.

Thanks for your hard work. This is just a very minor glitch in comparison to the wealth of new functionality added to this latest version. Keep up the excellent work Daniele & team!

Hi Marvin,
If you want to avoid that happening please also lock the band by using the padlock alongside the band display.

Its difficult to avoid this happening when a radio is not selected but the 'Link to radio band' check box is checked - No radio to link to! but by using the lock this circumvents the issue.

As an aside the Whiteboard is working!

That works, Terry, thanks very much!

P.S. Thanks for the good news!
