Omnirig CAT trouble, Mode=changing, Freq=not changing

I am new to Log4OM but i have some issues with the CAT control.

When i start the program and click on a callsign from a cluster spot the radio is tuned to the correct frequency and mode is set accordingly.
But after some time the frequency is not changing anymore. however the mode is still switching according to the cluster spot.

Only way to solve this is to close Log4OM and restart it. Then it works oke for another some minutes.

As a test is also started the Omni-Rig client program parallel to Log4OM.
With this Omnirig client i am still able to change the frequency when it is not possible anymore from within Log4OM, strange thing is that Log4OM is still tracking these frequency changes.
Also when i turn the dail on the transceiver Log4OM is tracking these frequency changes perfect. But it is not possible to change the frequency from within Log4OM.

The CAT Status icon in the lower left side remains green.

I have had this issue since maybe v1.22, after Daniele made some changes to how Log4OM works with OmniRig. At that time it seemed like I was the only one with this issue, but now others are reporting it. The key here is that after some time, when clicking on a spot in Log4OM, the mode will change, but not the frequency. And yes, another OmniRig client, like BandMaster will continue to work via Omnirig to change the mode AND frequency on the rig.

Here is a workaround to get CAT back working fully in Log4OM. Click the headphone icon tool bar button to bring up the OmniRig interface window, change the port to some other port not used, click OK, then open up OmniRig again, change the port back to the correct port and click OK. Full CAT operation should return.

Windows 7 - 64 bit, IC-7600.

I just discovered the same problem.

Whenever I go into the settings and exit the settings window, the issue apears. When I open the omnirig interface and confirm by clicking ok, everything works again.

You don't even have to commit the omnirg window. Only open it and close it.

So to get the problem, just open the settup windo and close it.
To get it working again, open the omnirig window and close it.
100% reproducable here with my TS590S.

Yes, oe4hds you are 100% right, :D

The problem occurs after entring settings screen. (since i am new to Log4OM, i enter settings a lot).

After that frequency is not changing anymore. But opening the CAT control by pressing the "headset icon" en clicking the "Ok" button in the Omnirig window seems to re-initialize the CAT connection and after that it works oke again.

I am having Omni Rig problems also. Almost everytime I turn on my ICOM 7600, CAT is not working. I have to change from COM8 to COM9 and then back to COM8 and then it works.
Sometimes it works when I power up the 7600, but most of the time it won't. It is not a consistent problem. Perhaps 80% of the time I must change COM ports and then return to my normal COM8 for CAT to work. It continues working properly until I turn off the transceiver. It is a bit irritating, hi.

I would surmise that you are using the dreaded USB connection for CAT instead of the ACC connection, if so it sounds like either the USB drivers are not installed correctly - Uninstall the driver, do a fresh download from Icom JP and reinstall

Or perhaps you may have the same issues that other 7600 owners have encountered of a faulty USB port on the rig - See the 7600 Yahoo Group and Facebook site.

I am fortunate that my 7600 works fine with either the USB or ACC, CAT connection

Its the same problem here if I go to settings then opitons then click ok or exit the option window the problem apears. opening omnirig and click ok does NOT resolves the problem in my case. I have to restart log4om.

I use Icom Pro III, Omnirig,VSP and Windows 10 Pro.
Never had any issues before.
