Since a few days/weeks LOTW adds comments in (at least two) the STATE and CNTY ADIF-fields.

Examples what I receive from LOTW:

<STATE:2>CT // Connecticut <CNTY:13>CT,NEW LONDON // New London
<STATE:2>RI // Rhode Island <CNTY:10>RI,NEWPORT // Newport
<STATE:2>KE // Kemerovo
(Not limited to US-states)

The length in the ADIF-file coming from LOTW is correct (2, 13, 2, 10, 2 ...).

But these comments later also show up in the QSO's.
And when a backup is made, the length of the comment is added to the total fieldlength.

<STATE:17>CT // Connecticut <CNTY:27>CT,NEW LONDON // New London
<STATE:18>RI // Rhode Island <CNTY:21>RI,NEWPORT // Newport
<STATE:14>KE // Kemerovo

Looking in my WAS-awards a number of errors show up, unknown state.

Did you try searching before posting to see if the was already reported?

I searched in the error-reports. Nothing found.
But then I found this error in the User Support.
