SOTA Association: R9U - how to select it? - EDIT now Spain

Dear Log4OM Team,

Today had a contact with RA9WJV/8/P on the SOTA Reference: R9U/SO-103
https://www.sota.org.uk/Summit/R9U/SO-103

Log4OM suggests country: Asiatic Russia
I have tried European Russian too but I can't find the R9U Association anywhere. No chance to select the correct SOTA summit.

Joe,
Sorry about this but I had not spotted that SOTA MT had slightly changed the summitlist we download! by changing 'Russia Urals' to 'Russia - Urals' so our SOTA to DXCC lookup table (SotaAssociations.csv) could not find it Grrrrrrr!

I have ammended our SotaAssociations file so please download the latest SOTA data (Log4OM/Settings/SOTA Database/Download Updates) then restart Log4OM and all should be OK

Hello everyone,

The same seam to have happened to Spain.
Trying to enter a Summit to Summit with EA2WX/p : Sota Selection is empty...
(I have tried updating the SOTA database and restarted Log4OM.

Hello Terry,

I was comparing old and new summitslist.csv files and the naming of the Spain associations in csv changed. Similar to the R9U situation above.
So when logging a contact with a List of Summits for Spanish callsign is just empty. I guess the SOTA to DXCC lookup table needs an update again.

Looks like SOTA Management changed the naming for all Spain areas.

Spain used to be i.e.:
Old: Spain (North West)
New: Spain - North West

Same for
Spain - North
Spain - Catalunya
Spain - Central
Spain - South East
Spain - Balearic Islands
Spain - South
Spain - Canary Islands
Spain - Ceuta

Thanks for taking care.

I have checked the complete Summit list from SOTA and AGAIN they have changed the association names for all Spannish associations without warning.

The old format was Spain (north);

Which they have now changed all 9 associations to this format

Spain - North;

If they would just include the actual DXCC number in the summitlist then developers like us would not have to continually be updating tables to cross reference the associations!

Please update the SOTA database from the settings menu of Log4OM then restart Log4OM for these updates to take effect

Hello Terry,

Thanks for fixing it. My reply was just minutes before your post.

Looking at the table this might happen for Germany as well. That is the only one still having bracket instead of the dash. But I have no info if or when this change will happen.

Thanks again for taking care!

Every time we tried to talk to sota team we got back a bunch of flies. They are totally isolated on their summits, and they don't do almost anything to help us and other software to stay up to date.
And definitely we're working to let users enjoy their awards, not vice versa.
