LoTW settings

Post by KB2FMH »

Does anyone know what to put in the box "TSQL Private Pass"?
Also, what would be the Executable Path / Temporary path?

I find nothing in the help menu nor on the LoTW website.

Thanks, KB2FMH

Hello OM,

as LotW user you have received a certificate by eMail. This tq6 can
be secured with a private password if you need.If you don´t have set
one up in TQSL you can leave this box empty in Log4OM.

Note: It´s not the password you need to login to the LotW website. This
password is required for downloading the confirmations from LotW. The
private pass will be used by TQSL to open the tq6 cerificate and to sign
your outgoing ADIF to the LotW.

Is it possible to have the LoTW certificate password entered automatically? I get a prompt to enter it every time when uploading QSOs to LoTW.

I did search through the forum and couldn't find this addressed anywhere.

No the private password is a function of the TQSL program for secure signing of the TQ file

That TQSL password is something you set up with your TQSL installation. You do not have to have that password to make it function.

You can just remove it and you won't be prompted in the future.

Self explanatory really!

'Temp path' the path to the LOTW temporary folder

'Config' the Log4OM configuration menu (Options)

Your user name in the path will be different to my one which is called 'Terry'

finally realized i had to create the LOTW folder in that directory, works like a champ. im a show me type guy, after looking in that folder after an upload, i see that is where it makes its ADIF file to upload, thanks for the quick response and for making such a great program, love it more every time i use it, especially on the cluster, letting me know what i have worked and haven't,
Thanks again
