Apparently there is a defect in LOG4OM that all FT8 operators should be aware of if they use LOTW.. The discussion is here: http://www.eham.net/ehamforum/smf/index ... 920.0.html
It is easier to reference the link above, rather than explain it all over again.
According to AA6YQ (DXLABs author) this defect has been brought to Terry's attention. I only bring it up here so LOG4OM ops do not do what I did....

We are aware of this but Lele is on vacation so nothing can be done until he returns.
Strictly not a defect in Log4OM its caused by ADIF & LOTW being slow to add FT8 mode and their suggested work around of sending FT8 QSO's from the TQSL software as Data that causes issues on download matching

New release will correctly read "DATA" mode reported by LOTW.
It has been tested ok.
We usually don't release new versions too often, and V 1.29 was released some days ago.
We'll think about,

I just downloaded and installed V1.30.0.0 update - Is FT8 now supposed to be showing in the Mode drop down menu? If so, It does not show up. Is it possible to manually enter FT8 or a mode not on the list? Bill N4iQ

Sorry for the bother - put the FT8 patch into Roaming\LOG4om and it is working fine. Bill N4iq

Check out for the new configuration file for TQSL (start TQSL manually and use the update function)
V 11.1 is the new one and TQSL now accept FT8 and T10 as new modes of ADIF 3.0.6 which has been
approved last sunday.
