LoTW sync philosophy ?

Post by dk3dua »

Hello,

I did not yet really understand how to sync with LoTW.

If I
- make some new QSO's direct in Log4OM
- import some ADIF from external ADIF files with QSO's maybe far in the past
- do some manual corrections in Log4OM QSO's

I think the program should find what is needed to sync, there is a button "select required" and just click it should sync all what is needed ?

Or should I maintain records of all my changes and imports and pick out all QSO's manually who are needed to sync with LoTW ?
For now I just Upload the last year every time to be sure it's all included...

Make the changes to your Log4OM logbook and upload the whole database to LOTW using the Loh4OM QSL Manager

Now do a LOTW download in the QSL manager with the start date of your earliest QSO, this will merge and update all of the data on LOTW to the QSO's in the Log4OM logbook

Yes of course I can alwyas upload all my QSO's from the last 50 years, but I thought Log4OM works a little bit more clever ...
Maybe a hint for future development to offer a real sync function.

Hallo Thomas,

Alles was danach
Sync. also eher nicht erwünscht.
