Call lookup a tad slow?

Post by KI5IO »

I've been noticing that the callsign fillin/lookup is taking about 5-7 seconds and seems like it is much slower than it was.

I only noticed the slowness with the hotfix release that I installed late this afternoon.

I use QRZ.com as my prime call lookup and I always have that URL open on a tab in my browser. I've not noted any slowdowns with QRZ.com as I move back/forth often.

Try again today as I found times yesterday when the QRZ web site was unobtainable even with my browser

So you probably got a connection timeout.
Everything that happens behind the scenes is detectable in the application log you can see from HELP menu.
This will also include timeouts and other things.

There is a world of informations behind the user interface, and checking log could be the fastest way to identify an issue

Will check logs shortly to learn more. As of this AM everything is back to very rapid operation.

I just need to rein in my impatience :?

Log4OM is working so very good in all the elements I use. Great program and excellent support.
