New Bands

Post by vk4qc »

Hi Daniele, great program!
Just wondering if the new bands MF 472-479 KHz (630m) and LF 135.7-137.8 KHz (2200m) can be added to the list? Of course they are not available to all countries yet, but hopefully they eventually will. 73, Peter VK4QC

Hi Peter,
you can add them into the bandplan file
make a copy of the correct bandplan file (bandplan_Rxxx.xml) (where xxx is your region) and rename as: bandplan_Rxxx_user.xml (where xxx is your region)

just copy-paste another known band in the xml file and edit the values (it's an xml file you can open with notepad) to have the new bandplan updated
Configuration folder where those files resides is found in HELP menu

Hi Daniele,
Thanks for the info. I did that but found it was as simple as adding the new bands to the BandList.txt file! Everything works now.

Hi Peter,
That's fine for the band entry drop down but if you use CAT then you will have out of band warnings if you don't modify the band plans as described by Daniele
