No you don't need DM780 JT Alert will forward anything logged by Jt65 or WSJTX directly to Log4OM providing you enter the correct information in JT Alert

I have been testing JT Alert for the last couple of days and it has worked flawlessly in fact I have just added a new JT Alert section in the user guide

Tnx, It's been a very frustrating experience, but maybe someday I'll figure out why it doesn't work. I tried with the firewall and virus protection off. I also scanned with malwarebytes which didn't find any malware. I set and reset jt-alert to work with log4om many times. it's probably just a fluke on my machine. Tnx Agn...Phil

Hi Terry, I finally discovered why I couldn't get Jt-Alert to talk to Log4om; it was my firewall Zone Alarm . Disabling Z/A is not enough; it can't be running at all. Right now I'm using Windows firewall. If I can configure Z/A so it allows the the 2 programs communicate, I'll post it here. Tnx..Phil NS2R

Hi Terry,
Before you email me, I am aware that the help file in the current release of JTAlert is out of date with respect to Log4OM setup. I have that corrected for the next JTAlert release 2.4.14

Hi to All, This is just a follow-up on my last post. I wasn't able to configure the free version of Z/A firewall. The Pro version does have a facility to allow TCP and UDP ports through. I've decided to use the free Commodo firewall; it works very well with Log4OM and JT-Alert,. TNX 73..Phil :D

Phil, FWIW, I use Comodo Firewall on my PCs and VMs.
