JT Alert integration.

Post by K0AY »

Some good news for JT65 fanatics. I received this:

Hi Arthur,

Unless I run into technical difficulties, Log4OM will be available as one of the supported loggers for JT-Alert.
I have it installed and have commenced coding and testing.

Cheers

Laurie was able to put QSO into Log4OM, so the only thing to do is wait for the release.

JT-Alert 2.1.0 with support for Log4OM logging has been released.
At this time, only the SQLite logs are supported with MySQL logs added in the next release.
The UDP (DM780) Connection Method of logging is used.

Visit Ham-Apps.com for the download and release notes.

Great news! Now is the time for me to cut the ties with DM780 and connect with L4OM.
I would like the instructions releasing the UDP DM780 connection in the Services page of settings and connecting to L4OM.

Thanks,

From what I can see you just leave the UDP selected on port 2236 and JT connects to that!

The (DM780) alongside the UDP selection does not apply it is just a UDP for any program that wants to use that port, perhaps we should remove the reference to DM780 or add etc to avoid confusion?

I just logged a QSO from JT65. It successfully got to L4OM. However I got an error message from Jt-65 saying that it did not get a confirmation from L4OM. I can live with that. Just to let you know.

Since this is a new feature of JT-Alert, I'll ask Laurie to look at this first. It's unlikely that you have done anything that would cause this. I'll keep you apprised.
