Need to highlight a call from a specific club

Post by OA9DVK »

Hi there and greetings from the Amazon Rainforest.
The system here: LOG4OM 2 V2.13.0.0, W10 64bit

I have created a new club as stated in the manual. I would need to receive an alert or a popup when I insert a callsign into the entry box. Let me explain. I hear a station and a input his callsign. If he has been already contacted and saved in his Clubs & Assoc's field his club and number, a popup or alert will tell me he is part of that club. Would that be possible?

Thank you guys for the great work.

Should work already if you created your club as an award

In the alert manager select the club award for an audible and visual alert

Hi Terry, tnx for helping. I did create my club as an award and an alert, but it does not work when I get a spot nor when I type the call in the CALLSIGN field. This last situation is the one I would really need. When I call I usually have a discrete pileup and I need to know if the station that is calling me is part of the club or not. Any other clues?
Thank you for your help.

Hi Daniel,
OK in reverse order

An alert when entering a call is not a current feature of Log4OM but a good idea that you might like to add to the forum feature requests area.

The cluster alert should work OK if you followed the instructions in our user guide age 74>>>>> and in particular the 'Awards' tab of that interface as below.

This should trigger a visual and audible alarm if a club member appears in the cluster.

Excellent support Terry. I will drop a note for a future feature. Since I usually am on a pile-up when calling I would love to recognize some members of the club and dedicate 30 seconds more when pop up on air.

As for the second part of your reply, I did exactly as the manual says but no success in getting an alert when spotted on cluster. Anyway it is not a problem as I usually do not need to check the cluster that often. So, no problem burt I will investigate a bit more. Surely it is my fault.

Stay safe and see you on air.

Hi there, I am still not able to get an alert when a specific call which is part of a CLUB appears in the cluster.
- I have created an award names 91NET with a list of calls.
- In the alert management I have created a rule by clicking the name of the award in the "Awards" tab.
- I have activated the rule and saved.

When a station in the list appears in the cluster, nothing happens.

Any idea how to fix it?

Hi guys, still have issues here. When a callsign pops up on the cluster and it is part of the club I get no warnings.
