Logging in Cw Interface

Post by m0eas »

For some reason I can log a callsign in the std interface and it works ok. When I opened up the CW keying interface and do the same, it retrieves all the call data but when I press enter as I do in the standard view to save, nothing happens and I just hear a 'bing'.

Am I missing something here?

Hi Phil,
Could you RTF*M, please?

Page 97:
"Alt-Enter - Saves the QSO to the logbook and records the end time of the QSO and clears the entered date and
positions the cursor back into the call sign field ready for the next QSO."

* - F is for Fine

Hi Slav,

I did read the manual and found neither option worked, hence thinking enter was correct.

My finding are that both ALT + W or ALT + ENTER fail with a bing.
ESCAPE however does clear the entry.

What I did just discover is that CTRL + W or CTRL + Enter work !!

Is that the same for you ?

Is there a reason this screen behaves different to the main screen in terms of key input (just curious)?
I now have to use both hands to log a call..

Hi Phil,
You are right. CTRL-ENTER is working option and it is on page 98 as HOTkeys list.
Alt-Enter is not working.
The worst thing is that I knew that Ctrl-Enter is working but before sending my post I checked manual and do copy-paste without checking what really I am writing.
Sorry for that.
