install of 2.28.0.0 success except

Post by ve3wej »

Now I have the signal report boxes blinking, can I stop it from doing that. I even tried entering a call as if I worked someone, then it would not let me enter a report because it was blinking

yes I did look at the manual. Is it updated each release?

Dave,

Terry updates the U.G. at any given time when there is a need. I have recommend to users for years to check for U.G. update at least twice a month. Easily done at: Help / User Guide / English (force update) ... click on that and after a few moments the most recent U.G. will open in your preferred PDF viewer. I recommend that you then save a copy to your local PC.

The current U.G. was just updated on June 05, 2023 at 3:55PM

As for your first question - Are you referring to the RST Sent & Received boxes?

You did not provide any additional information so I will suggest you do the below to get back to basics:

Have Log4OM running by "itself". Do NOT also have any other APPs running and connected to Log4OM. IE: WSJTx, JTDX, JTAlert, Gridtracker, etc..

Only have the CAT connected to your rig and that is not necessarily needed either.

Bottom line ... have Log4OM running by "itself" and then see if the issue you noted persists.

Also ... have you modified the rst.xml file via the Resources Editor?

A bit more clarification is needed please.

I am not sure what was making the rst boxes blink, but have stopped, and all I did was restart today.. will watch for it to occur again, and post images, if I can

I have encountered the blinking RX/TX boxes as well, using FTDX10, JTAlert, and JTDX. It locks Log4OM up and is unusable.

This is intermiitent, and I have yet to etablish a pattern.

Gavin,

Are you using V 2.28.0.0 as well?

What CAT control?

Are you also using a Win4(radio) suite?

Next time it happens check your log to see if it captures any errors. You could also change the log level to Debug and that will provide more granular data that might help provide a clue as well.
