Comments - from a list?

Post by SP8X »

Hi,

There is a "Comments" field in the log window.
Is it possible to enter text here that can be selected from a list for other QSOs ?

Hello,

A reminder of my topic.
The "Comment" field is a dropdown, this may mean that such a field can store values selected from a list.
Does anyone have an idea how to define values here????

That feature is not available at this time.

Currently that field is filled in from data in the Cluster "Notes" field when you 'spot' the particular callsign.

You could add this to the Feature Request portion of this Forum.

Also, if you search that portion you might find it may have already been requested for consideration.

I understand Nolan!
Thank you very much for the clarification.

So far I have been using this field (Comment) to highlight QSO's that I made during my POTA activations.

Piotr,

I fill in the POTA ID via the F3 Tab (Awards) and select POTA from that dropdown. Then I save that specific POTA with the QSO I'm about to save.

I don't 'activate' POTA ... just 'hunt' so I have the time to select that information and save with the QSO.

If I then choose to "spot" that OM's POTA station Log4OM will automatically use the saved POTA ID and put it in the Notes field for the spot. It will then show up in the cluster's notes field.

Also ... currently there is a "bug" in Log4OM as when a Cluster Spot is selected and put into your Main UI ... assuming it already has a POTA or SOTA ID in the Notes field it is suppoed to automatically fill in the IDs in the Awards section for that OM's QSO.

I just noted the 'manual' steps I'm using until Lele gets the 'auto-fill' bug fixed.
