Please note:
Although POTA claim to be "for international portable amateur radio operations" they have decided to change the reference designations from the Amateur Radio universal DXCC entity prefix system to an ISO system.
Example: England, Scotland, Wales, NI and the other entities within the British isles are no longer be identified by G, GM, GW, GI, GJ etc they all now carry the ISO ID of GB - So whatever part of the British Isles you work its all encompassed as GB
It also means that whereas with the original system if the call entered was GW3XXX only POTA references for Wales were displayed which makes the selection easier. With the ISO designation whatever regional prefix you enter for the UK the complete list of references for all of the British Isles will have to be trolled through.
When eventually POTA release a full list of the changes that can be downloaded these new designations cannot be recognised by Log4OM in the cluster or identified in the awards system.
When they release a downloadable list, apparently later this year, we will have to modify the software to translate your logged POTA contacts to the new system.
Meanwhile I suggest users record any of the new designations by adding them in the F3 tab of the UI, see IOTA and SOTA instructions in our user manual to see how to do that.
We appologise for any inconvenience but it is beyond our control at this time.
