If you enter a prefix into the call field, Log4OM will tell you the DXCC code for that prefix. Some require the first letter of the suffix, i.e. VK9X, VK9C, etc.

Can be a solution, yes, but actually awards and references are "preloaded" in the user interface based on the country.
So you cannot see a Ukrainian castle when watching Somalia. Having a "mixed" environment with references splitted on more nearby countries can drive to a problem, the needs to have multiple DXCC possible for a single entity, that was excluded by design.
