Pesky RX Band field

Post by n0efn »

I just updated from 2.33 to 2.34. I think I had this problem long ago. In the main window and elsewhere, you enter the band once in a field named "Band". Lately, for some reason, when I open the QSO to look at it since I'm getting errors, I'm seeing that there is two fields, one called "Band" and one called "RX Band" and it has been always different, it sticks to the last band I worked and refuses to change to the current band for a new QSO. I have to go in and edit each one. Again.

How do I get the option to leave the "RX Band" field blank again?

Please and thanks in advance.

Turn off satellite mode

Would also help if you stated release number!

Thank you. Um, I do not know where or how to turn off satellite mode as I do not remember turning it on? The release I thought was posted and shown in the picture. I looked and the best I have is v2.34.0.0 just like in the picture. I did a search and found this (picture below) that shows the satellite mode box unchecked, so . . .

I was reading your post on a mobile phone so the image was not very readable, my appologies

If you set the RX band to blank (No Band) does it function correctly then?

If you had CAT connected, depending on the radio, the RX band would be read from the CAT commands

Thank you again kind sir. The only place I can clear the "RX Band" field is when I open the QSO for editing as the second pic in me first post showed, unless I'm missing it, there is no option in the main window except to set "Band".

SCREETCH! Stop the presses! I have no idea how it got set, but D'oH, there is an option in the main window and now I'll just pay closer attention, because contrary to the popular saying, you can always afford to pay attention. I cleared the field before I took this screeny. Thx again for putting up with my n00bness.

So, I guess I wish I knew how to keep that field blank all the time. I can clear it to the 'blank' option and that's fine for that session. Next time I open the app, its set again.

I'll just have to pay attention. Unless there's something in settings I could use some help with, hehe.
