I just worked 7QAA, dxpedition to Malawi. When I went to save it Log4OM thought it was a busted call but let me save it anyway. Its in the log but if I enter it into the callsign field it will not do anything with it. Is this a problem or do I need to update something so Log4OM knows its valid?
Thanks,
Harry

Re: DX Call 7QAA
Harry,
Seems that you captured a bug because Log4om is not looking this call up although it is a valid call in Clublog and on QRZ

Re: DX Call 7QAA
This is another case of those that do not follow the standards. 7QAA is NOT a ITU recognized call in that it has no numer following the prefix of 7Q.
There is no 7QA prefix.

Re: DX Call 7QAA
Can the SCL database not be updated to include this call ???
Re: DX Call 7QAA
The short answer at the moment is "No" as I have tried it in the SCL and without a number following the prefix, it will not resolve. I've noted to Daniele the issue with a possible solution.
Interesting that ClubLog currently does not contain this call (7QAA).

Re: DX Call 7QAA
Not being into "standard" format forces Log4OM to ignore it.
This way is made to avoid fake lookups into external sources (searching CIAO into qrz.com is an unnecessary waste of time and resources).
I should find a way to manage that

Re: DX Call 7QAA
I just manually logged it as Malawi from the drop down menu.
ON another note, would be good if one could filter out unrecognised DXCCs on the Cluster spots, to stop the Z6's clogging up my Cluster timeline!

We thought about that but when someone mistypes an O for a zero like GOOFE or KOOK although the DXCC is missing we still have a good idea of where the station is located
You could send a filter to the cluster to not accept spots for Z6???
