Chris,
I have a 7300 and I am sure our settings should be similar. From experience, I bet you have missed something very simple. The phrase about trees and not being able to see the woods because of them springs to mind.
Between terry and myself, I am sure we can sort you out and then your software problems. Terry is a wizard and has been very helpful to me.
Cheers

IC7610 Support on HamLib

Re: IC7610 Support on HamLib
Hi,
Thanks all.
This is how I seemed to have resolved the issue with the IC-7610 not connecting to OmniRig or WSJT-X SOLVED with Windows 10.
The Icom is setup as follows;
CI-V Baud Rate Auto
CI-V Address 98h
CI-V Transceiver Off
CI-V USB/LAN->REMOTE Tranceiver Address 93h
CI-V Output (for ANT) Off
CI-V USB Port Link to [REMOTE]
CI-V USB Baud Rate Auto
CI-V USB Echo Back ON
Works a treat with WSJT-X, if I change the CI-V Address from 98h it stops working, it seems the WSJT-X settings in HamLib are tied from the Selection of 7610 to the CI-V Address of 98h.
Have a look at the attachments for the screen shots for each application.
So, I now seem to have it working for now, I have no idea how everyone else has, it seems very random.

Re: IC7610 Support on HamLib
As an aside I can now set Omnirig in WSJT-X and it works with Log4om.

Re: IC7610 Support on HamLib
Chris,
What do you mean about not being able to set Omnirig in WSJT-X?
You are correct about the hex address of the rig. It has to match what is in the software. If there is a definition for the 7610, it will use the default value, otherwise you would have to change it in the rig to use a compatible rig's config.
I would strongly advise that you activate the Split option. It keeps the audio in the middle of the rig's passband and stops harmonics being radiated.
I have attached my settings in JTDX that work with Omnirig. I do have an external interface (MicroHAM DigiKeyer II) that manages my com ports.
Glad you got it sorted.
Cheers
