Hi folks, I have installed Log40M on my lap top and am missing something. I thought that I clicked all the right places and duplicated the info that is on my desk top. When I enter a call and click
ADD i get a pop up box stating "Not connected to any Database or Database error. Open or create new database" Sure enough down in the lower right corner I am seeing NOT CONNECTED.
My Desk top has A string with Phil\ W3LISQlite there. Were did I miss creating the file?????

Re: Missing in set up
Go to
File/new database and set the name and location
Now you will have a database and can enter QSO's

Re: Missing in set up
I have inserted this in the very beginning of the user guide because I felt that it was not obvious that a database should be created for the program to function..
Initial setup steps
1. Fill in ALL of the “Options/Station Info tab” information fields.
2. Complete whichever of the other “Options” tabs are applicable
3. Ensure that a database is created by following the instruction in this user guide “STARTING A NEW LOGBBOK”
Unless steps 1 and 3 above are completed it is not possible to use LOG4OM
