Painfully slow to look up Call-Sign

Hi I have been looking through the forum for a couple of weeks and can't see anyone else with this issue.
Using Log4OM 2 version 2.233.0.0
Computer is and I7 running windows professional 7 (Still receiving regular security updates) with CPU Core i7-4510U @ 8GB Ram 64Bit
Not all the time but mostly.
I enter in a call sign and i get no results for sometimes minuets, then when I start to enter a new call-sign it will pop up with the information from QRZ I was looking for and then disappear as it starts to search for the new call-sign, then nothing again until I start entering another call-sign.
This problem will even exist with previous contacts that are in my local database, and there are times when everything seems to work correctly. It does seem to be getting worse with the size of my database growing.
I have only been using this program for a few months.
I have a subscription with QRZ.com so the log will synchronize with QRZ.com.
If I lookup directly on QRZ.com on the website, I get instant information.
My internet speed is 50MBS and I have no problem streaming video content or web surfing.

Any ideas DE Paul VK2EX

How many QSO's in your database?

It's not that then the sqlite database is good for up to 120,000 QSO'S

Have you tried with all antivirus and firewalls turned off?

I turned the Firewall and Antivirus off and made no difference, I even tried installing a previous version since this problem only started a short time ago, but no change in the way it operated, just timed one entry to 4 1/2 mins.

Any other ideas?

So not sure what changed in the last 2 versions

Update on the update,
Unfortunately my problem has not been fixed, it is somewhat better than it was on the latest version but still playing up.
Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem, all comments welcome.

Paul,

Have you tried your situation with the cluster feed turned off?

You can also go to: Configuration / Performances and tic (on/off) various elements and then try your situation again to see if you can narrow down the culprit.

Do you also have any of the various digital APPs (IE: WSJTx, JTAlert, Griditracker) running at the same time?

Just thinking out loud for one layer at a time trouble-shooting. :?:

I too am experiencing this same issue all of a sudden. I have tried the disabling of the Firewall, clicking off the cluster look up options on at a time. But I still get the long awaited delay for the callsign population.

I have discovered that if I turn off the qrz.com under info providers in my configuration it will respond just like it always has (Quickly)! However it will not populate any of the pictures of the callsign I am looking up if they have one on there QRZ page.

Hopefully this may give someone an idea?? I have ran this software for a few years now and have never had any issue with it at all, but unsure what has caused this issue... my brother inlay too runs it and has slower internet in his shack and is not having any of the issues that I too am experiencing.

Any other suggestions??

Thanks
Jeff
