After some time Log4OM becomes slow and freeze

Post by F4BPO »

Hi all,

After running a few pile ups lately I have this problem.
After 45 minutes of entering QSOs quickly into Log4OM it starts hanging, being very slow to the point I need to close it and re open it as I cannot enter the QSO as fast as I work them.

I have a good computer (Threadripper cpu, 24 Gig ram and SSD m2)

Anyone is facing this issue ?

Hello Greg and Alain,

no one in the Alpha & Beta Team can reproduce this rare errors. The only thing that is know´n is that this problem
is mostly on AMD Ryzen machines but also not for each one. I have a Ryzen machine too and no errors like this. As
long as the teams can´t reproduce this problem Lele has nearly no chance to find out what´s wrong.

Hi Terry,

Thanks for this info.

Overall it is slow on my side while my machine, I try to tweak a bit but when on FT8 with UDP it is getting quite slow and freezes quite a lot.
I love Log4OM but this is really a killer :(

This is something different that the first issue mentioned where after some time I need to completely kill Log4OM and restart it or it is unusable.

Thanks for answering
