Hello!
I didn't find any information in the user manual, I think Keyboard shortcuts for our software would be very useful... What do you think?
I recently bought this toy which may prove to be particularly useful and it works just with keyboard shortcuts (see 2nd image):
Do you think it could be a future implementation?
Log4OM Keyboard shortcuts
Re: Log4OM Keyboard shortcuts
Thanks, this is the list I found but it would be very useful to have buttons for VFO +, VFO-, etc….G4POP wrote:Page 38 user guide
Keyboard shortcuts.
The keyboard can be used as follows for speedy QSO entry
TAB key - Moves cursor through the main QSO input fields.
Esc Key - Clear data entered in the QSO input fields
Enter Key - To add a QSO
Back slash (\) Key - Press and hold for PTT (PTT KEY is user selectable in Configuration CAT menu)
CTRL + PTT KEY – Send a 440Hz tune audio to the default transmit audio card.

Re: Log4OM Keyboard shortcuts
I am loving LOG4OM and like its functionality and casual and contest logging features with out being over the top.
In addition to (or maybe instead of), I have he following suggestion on Keyboard shortcuts:
In addition to (or maybe instead of), I have he following suggestion on Keyboard shortcuts:
- Be able to adjust the tab order of the Entry screen (or any screen).
When I enter a QSO data, I like to enter notes right away (like a quick sandbox). The tab order in the entry screen has Notes at about 8 or 9
- Be able to remap functions to keystrokes
Sometimes I type in the callsign and by habit press ENTER (thinking I am moving into the next field) before I actually have the QSO. The I have to go back and delete. If I could remap to ctrl-ENTER it would be nice. Other features could be remapped as well.
This could also be a way to quick customize features and their access
- One 'quirk' is that if I am in the Entry screen and press ALT, the expected underlines happen in the entry screen but it also enables the menu bar underlines and some of those are dupes to the entry screen underlines.
It was leading to some bazar effects till I figured out the dupe action. Have not tried in the undocked scenario but will soon.
