Icom IC7300 QSYs to 14.148 when on 40mtrs

Post by GW0ANA »

Greetings fellow log4om users, I would like your help & advice. My LOG4OM program with WSJT-X FT8 has just started QSYing to 14.148 USB -D when I go to 40 metres FT8. All other frequencies work OK but not 40 metres . I have put tried to put in 7074 into the frequency list of the program but It goes to that frequency in LOG4OM but when the radio keys up into TX the frequency changes to 14.148. Any advice to sort this out. All other frequencies work fine.

I would not think this is related to Log4OM but might not be understanding you correctly.

I am assuming you are using the band drop down button to select band in WSJT?

Are you using OmniRig? Try leaving Log4OM out of the equation to troubleshoot

Hello , I thank you for your kind reply. I took your advice and only loaded the FT8 program. My rig is the Icom IC-7300.
I run WSJT-X for FT8.

I have the radio setting as Icom IC7300 and always choose the drop down menu's in the program.

It works great on all frequency's except 40 meters now when the drop down menu shows 7.040 the program will show 7.040 but the radio will QSY to 20 meters showing 14.148. It has me baffled.

So at present I cannot use 40 meters in FT8 which I could up up to a few days ago.

Maybe if I do a full reset of the radio it may clear this weird QSY fault. As I am really missing 40 as I am actively chasing band slots for my ARRL Challenge have 1400 at present and want the 1500 plaque.
so my thanks for your suggestions but at present I am stuck with no FT8 on 40 metres.
