I cannot get Wjst-X to connect to Log4OM 2!

Post by kb3z »

Gentlemen,
I have tried to do a UDP connection getting Log4OM2 to recognize WJST-X. For some reason when I activate the connection if I save and go back in, it is not active. And I don't get the message regarding Port 2237 for WJST. I have tried multiple times this evening to get it to work and it gets more frustrating everytime I try! Can anyone help?

Mark,

What version of Log4OM are you using?

There is a new version ( V 2.27.1.10) available at: https://www.log4om.com/download/

If you are using at least V 2.27.1.0 did you closely read the Release Notes and follow them to 'delete' your existing UDP Inbound Connections and 'build' new ones?

Have you looked at this information about those needed changes:
https://forum.log4om.com/viewtopic.php?p=43147#p43147

Lele has also posted this PDF about the FTxx connections on another OM's Thread:
https://www.log4om.com/l4ong/usermanual ... ith_JT.pdf

Nolan,
I will need to look at that.
It may be tonight, once I get home from Work.
Thanks for the advice.

Mark,

I noted where you had also posted this issue in the WSJTx reflector and you mentioned there following information from Laurie's JTAlert APP for connecting to Log4OM.

Mike B. noted you can't connect WSJTx directly to Log4OM, but that is incorrect. When I've run FTxx modes I've often only had WSJTx running and connected directly to Log4OM.

Go back to basics and set out what connections you have or want and then review the PDF that Lele created and you can also look in our extensive User Guide (d/l the latest version) and start reading on Page 216 about "JT programs integration".

Lots of information and screen clips there as well to absorb.
