It take longer now to log a qso

Post by 9k2hn »

Hi,

Since updating to the latest version of Log4OM V2.31.0.0, I have noticed that it takes around 26 seconds to log a qso!! although I have disabled all uploads in the background (qrz.com, clublog, and HRD) it still takes 26 seconds for each qso to be saved.

I'm using MariaDB 10.4.24

My PC is Windows 11
32GB ram
Processor I7-10700 CPU @2.90Ghz 8 Core
526,532 qso

Any idea what I should do? or do I have to live with it?

Help/Log Level -- select Trace in the pulldown.
Log a QSO
Help/Open Log File
And post the log file -- hopefully shows where the delay is.

Hamad,

For the sake of "trouble-shooting" can you create an SQLite d/b and then log a couple QSOs and see what the response(s) might be?

Mike's suggestion regarding the Trace log would be likely be helpful in both d/b tests.

There has already been a lot of conversations about Maria issues on this forum it seems something changed so it might be a good idea to read the other threads - Search Mysql

Do not post log files on the forum they contain your sensitive information and make it possible for hackers to access your PC

I have deleted the file for you

Thank you for the reply, Due to my limited knowledge in the database thing, I installed MySQL instead of Mariadb and moved my log there.
But the problem is still there it is extremely slow. any other suggestions?
