I have a problem with CAT to my FT840. When operating normally, it works fine but as soon as I engage "split" on the radio, thing start to go wrong. Log4OM gets the TX/RX frequencies the wrong way round. If I hit "split" on the radio again to return to single VFO operation, log4OM stays split. Stopping and restarting CAT makes no difference. The only way to get back to normal is to stop and restart Log4OM.
I'm using Log4OM v2.31.0.0 on windows 11.
Any ideas?

Sounds like the split commands in the FT840.ini file are incorrect, please ask Alex the author of Omnirig to check

Thanks. I've now tried Hamlib. That is better, the split seems to work, but if I use the A/B button to swap VFOs, that is ignored. It is much slower. Although the polling time is set to 500ms it seems to only update every 2 or 3 seconds.

Re: FT840 CAT problem (Omnirig)
I have always found Omnirig the most reliable but sometimes needed to use rig ini's for similar radios to the one attached to the PC
Did you contact Alex of Omnirig?
It is also possible that with a very old rig like the FT840 that some functions are not included in the rigs commands for CAT or by Omnirig, it is probably 25 years old which is a long time in computer terms.
You might also try a full factory reset of the rig
